With the current epidemic the world is facing due to the Coronavirus, Pristine Pads thought there would be no better time to talk about what you can do to keep your home safe from the transfer of germs and illness.
- Wash your hands often. We've been hearing it since preschool, FOR A REASON. Take the time to wash your hands to prevent the spreading of germs and bacteria.
- Clean all surfaces of your home with antibacterial products. It is important that you are wiping down high traffic areas regularly. Some examples are doorknobs, light switches, fridge handles.
- If you cough or sneeze, do so in your elbow. This prevents the transfer of germs onto your hands, so you aren't spreading them to the surfaces or people you come in contact with.
- Get the flu vaccine. Some people are opposed to this, and we can understand your position. If not, we highly recommend getting vaccinated so as to prevent developing the flu.
- Eat healthy. Proper nutrients and vitamins in healthy foods help to build your immunity. Foods rich in Vitamin C are great immune boosters. Some examples are broccoli, cantaloupe, cauliflower, kale, kiwi, orange juice, papaya, red, green or yellow pepper, sweet potato, strawberries, and tomatoes.
- Keep yourself hydrated. Keeping hydrated activates your bodies natural filtration system and boosts your bodies immune response to help better fight off illness.
- Exercise. Exercise is a great way to keep your body and immune system strong and working hard to prevent illness.
- Stay away from people who are sick. This might seem like common sense, but there are people who think they are immune and end up carrying sicknesses to others.
- If you do become sick, stay home! This will isolate the symptoms. Leaving your home increases the chances of you subjecting your illness to others. Please always contact your doctor if you have a prolonged fever, trouble breathing, severe chest pain or any other issue that might need medical treatment.
As always, here at Pristine Pads we are happy to help you disinfect your homes to help prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Head over to the Contact Us page to set up your next cleaning service!
Stay healthy!
